The Nerello flavored canestrato cheese is a Sicilian dairy specialty that combines the taste of milk with the aftertaste of red wine.
The version we prepare in our dairy is a soft cheese, aged for 45 days in Nerello Mascalese pomace from Etna vines. We produce it between October and November so you can enjoy it all year round, with different aging times.
Ingredients: pasteurized sheep’s MILK, pasteurized MILK, salt, rennet and lactic ferments. Left to age in Nerello Mascalese pomace.
