Canestrato Cheese with Almonds

We make our canestrato cheese with almonds from sheep’s and cow’s milk and whole almonds, according to Sicily’s dairy tradition. The result is a fragrant cheese with a sweet taste, where the softness of the cheese itself and the crunchiness of the almonds create a delightful contast in consistencies. Ideal to be eaten raw, the canestrato cheese with almonds pairs well with other typical Italian cheeses as part of a cheese platter.

Ingredients: Pasteurized sheep’s MILK, pasteurized MILK, ALMONDS (3%), salt, rennet and lactic ferments.

Origin of milk: Italy – 100% Sicily
